Elden found a boat! Finally. We had to walk along the coast for a day and a half, combing through driftwood and other detritus, but he finally found one with something resembling structural integrity. So it would seem the hunt is on again.

Or, it will be in the morning. There are still a few repairs to be made, although I'm not entirely certain how Elden is going to make them. We did not bring ship-writing supplies along with us. He seems confident, though, so I will trust him.

Based on the maps we have of the area, it looks like we will be island-hopping for the next few days. The boat has a sail, but neither Elden nor I knows how to operate it, so we'll have to row. I hope the weather stays decent, otherwise we'll be in for a difficult time.

Since I doubt you'll be able to follow us, I guess this is goodbye for now.

Considering that we've never actually met, it's strange how fond of you I've grown. It's nice to have someone to talk to, even if they can't talk back. I know its unlikely, but if you ever find yourself in a Beacon city, feel free to contact me. It would be lovely to meet you face-to-face.
